Amy is a Ph.D. candidate working under the supervision of Prof. William Odom. With great interests in interaction design, she joined the Everyday Design Studio in August 2017. Her research focuses on slow interaction design, temporality, and experiential quality. Recent activities include in-depth observations on how people’s lived experience with personal digital archives could be enriched and designed through a temporal lens.

Before entering SFU, Amy received her academic training and achievements in Spatial Media Lab at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Computer Graphics and Vision Lab at National Tsing Hua University. The two-year industrial experience as a hybrid of UI/UX designer and iOS app developer in well-known start-ups in Taiwan granted her not only the interdisciplinary thinking but the desire to explore the world in a totally different perspective.
