Armi Behzad

Armi Behzad is a Ph.D. student working under the supervision of Dr. Ron Wakkary. As a growing design researcher, her work lies at the intersection of design-oriented HCI and philosophy of technology, where she uses research-through-design to investigate new understandings of human-technology relations. Armi is interested in leveraging concepts of posthumanism as a critical and speculative lens to explore technological mediations in our everyday experiences.

Prior to joining EDS, Armi earned her Master’s in Creative Technologies from Virginia Tech with a focus in HCI and tangible interaction design. She has also completed a Master’s and a Bachelor’s in Architecture.
