Mandeep Mangat is a Masters of Science student at Simon Fraser University. Under the advisorship of Dr. Ron Wakkary her thesis reinterprets the Buddhist doctrine of impermanence through the lens of unmaking. More broadly, she is interested in converging the thematic synchronicities between post-humanism and South Asian philosophy through design research.
Her experience prior to joining both SFU and the Everyday Design Studio included an undergraduate RA with the Interactive Futures Lab (OCAD University, Canada) that explored animal-robot interaction, and an internship with Phillip Beesley Architect Inc..
