Slow Interaction for the Home, Will Odom
Illuminated screens and networked devices are everywhere. People generate and share digital content at rates faster and scales larger than ever before. The presence of digital technology in our lives has never been more ephemeral. These shifts pose critical challenges for designers of smart technology. In this lightening talk I will describe how a slow interaction design approach to creating technology for the home can lead to long-term, curious, and engaging encounters over time, and, potentially, across generations.
